You're Hurting Me!
I'm going to assume that Johnny Pesky isn't actually in pain in this picture. I can't imagine going 80 years, spending 60 of the actually working for the team, and then finally seeing them win it all. My just under 30 years seems an eternity. I remember my parents not making 11 year old stan go to school for a few days after 1986 (we lived in NY at the time), I remember buying my Padres hat and (unsuccessfully) swearing off the Sox after some disappointing year, I remember getting drunk as a fish after the sox went down in 5 in 1999, I remember the unfortunate
seat saving incident at Anam Cara that caused last year's loss in game 7.
I can't really figure out what to do now.
